Mr Ishaq Salihu, the South South Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has said the commission will join forces with MTN in the fight against economic and financial crimes in the nation.
Salihu said this in an statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) by Mr Wilson Uwujaren, Head, Media and Publicity of the commission.
Salihu was quoted as saying this when he got some senior officers of the media communications organization who paid a courtesy visit to the commission's zonal office in Port Harcourt.
He said that partnering together with the organization in the fight against IRS evasion and different types of economic and financial crime was indispensable to the development of the nation.
As indicated by him, such organization will diminish capital flight and reestablish Nigeria's uprightness.
He prompted the organization to work inside the ambit of the law and fish out moles inside its positions, including that the EFCC would not spared anybody, if got on the wrong side of the law.
"The Acting Executive Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, is a straightforward man. He won't excuse anyone or association on the wrong side of the law," Salihu said.
On his part, Mr Asamine Anueyiagu, the Senior Manager, Customer Care of MTN, said that the organization was prepared to impart data to the commission at whatever point the need emerged.
Likewise speaking, Mr Dominic Ughanze, the Regional Security Manager, South/South Eastern Region of the MTN, and Cynthia Aroghan, Regional Manager, Enterprise Business, South/South Eastern Region additionally complimented EFCC for its work.
