Eight presumed prostitutes and three men have been arrested by the Lagos State Government at the relinquished home of former National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Owoye Azazi in Ikoyi, Lagos state.

Authorities of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offenses (Enforcement) Unit and the police from Ikoyi Police Station, today raged Azazi's
relinquished house at Number 5 Club Road, Ikoyi and arrested the ladies and the men. The arrest is a piece of the Lagos State Government's clean up practice in Ikoyi and Victoria Island which have been surpassed by unlawful and abandoned structures.

One of the presumed prostitute named Patience Ajoke, said preceding their arrest, no one had come there to caution them against utilizing the home of the late military boss.

"I don't know anything happening in the compound until Saturday when they came to arrest us by police from Ikoyi Police Station, they released us to return and pack our things, when we were inside to pack our heaps, they returned and captured us once more. No one has come to caution us to avoid there," said Patience Ajoke, one of the suspected prostitute.

20 year old Mary Augustine from Benue state said as opposed to claims by the team officers, she is a cleaner and not a prostitute.

Chairman of the Lagos team unit, Yinka Egbeyemi disproved asserts by the ladies that they weren't prostitutes.

"We have been there once with the DPO of Ikoyi Police Station. They sell "paranga" otherwise known as alcohol in that place. Amid the clean up work out, we were requested that move there once more. We saw policemen and military men there and all kind of individuals. They are doing prostitution business there. We are going to charge them to court' he said.
