The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disbursed N366.39 billion to 465 projects under the Commercial Agriculture Credit Scheme (CACS) from 2009 to date.

CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, revealed this at a universal gathering on 'Environment Dialog 1: Diversification of Economy – The Role of Jatropha', held at the NAF Conference Center, Abuja.
Jatropha is a non-consumable oil seed plant.
In the mean time, the National Center for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), yesterday, started training in outline and production of horticultural Implements for 60 youths across the country over.
This comes as the Benue State Commissioner for Agriculture, James Anbua, revealed that 3,750, hectares of area have been cleared during the current year's dry season cultivating in the state.
Acting Director of NCAM, Yomi Kasali, said: "This preparation and strengthening is not focused at the learner but rather young people experiencing preparing in welding and manufacture, to catch up on their aptitudes and further enable them, as a major aspect of the dedication of the Federal Government towards youth strengthening through farming advancement."
Spoken to by Dr. Aisha Mahmud, Emefiele said the discourse couldn't have come at a superior time, when the current worldwide financial emergency required amusement evolving changes, to accomplish versatile and feasible development through economic diversification.
