Criticism makes me better – Singer Simi

One of Nigeria's upcoming performers, Simisola Ogunleye, famously known as "Simi'', says that criticism from fans made her enhance her career as an artist.

Simi, who made her stamp with hit tracks like "Love don't care'' and "JAMB Question'' told the News Agency of Nigeria on
Thursday in Lagos that she even flourished under negative Criticisms

"A few people make a special effort to be cruel, they don't know you; they simply want to be mean since it's their constitutional right.

"I've been feeling very grouchy and somewhat moody all night. Be that as it may, I just saw this message a fan wrote and it made me to feel so much better.

"This is the reason I wake up each day, eager to compose another sonv, make another record. Furthermore, this is the reason I don't go to bed until 3 a.m. most nights.

"I have learnt to grow and be better. This is the reason despite everything I drag myself to the studio notwithstanding when I'm sick.

"It's because of the beautiful souls out there who can feel what I'm trying to let them know, or show them through my music that has made me to move improve."

She included that she would not be stifled by a handful of negative people and said thanks to the individuals who had encouraged her through their messages on her social media timeline.

"For those that show me love and those that criticise me without spite, I love you. Much thanks to you for being a part of the purpose behind my growth. I don't underestimate you.

"I cherish all of you, I don't get mad. I'm too busy ready for bigger projects in life."
