The Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, PACAC, on Thursday claimed that N1.3trillion was stolen from the country's treasury under the past administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
Showing the report of its activity from August to July to civil society associations in Abuja, PACAC Executive Secretary,
Professor Bolaji Owasanoye revealed that the huge sum of cash was stolen by fifty-five people.
Announcing that corruption conveyed Nigeria to her present situation, Owasanoye berated the former president for enduring the bad habit.
Review that President Muhammadu Buhari had in September declared that he will keep on blaming past administrations for the current economic difficulties confronting the nation.
Owasanoye claimed that Jonathan was not troubled that his administration fared more regrettable than his predecessors in handling corruption.
As indicated by him, "His (Jonathan's) torelance of corruption was reflected in the sunset of activities of anti-corruption agencies under his supervision and exponential increment of different vices probably fuel by corruption.
"For instance, it is generally trusted that uncertainty raised on account of the gigantic misappropriation of $2billion through the Office of the National Security Adviser under the administration of Col. Sambo Dasuki, who supposedly redirected the cash appropriated to battle uprising.
"The issues in the downstream division of the petroleum business achieved apex with multi-billion dollars appropriation tricks while President Jonathan looked the other way.
