The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has proclaimed that the organization is as yet searching for the owner(s) of the N49million money intercepted at Kaduna airport.
The anti-graft agency unveiled this by means of its official twitter handle while reacting to a twitter user.
Recall that operatives of EFCC, Kaduna zonal office, as of late caught N49million cash in five large black 150kg sacks taking after a tip off.
An announcement from EFCC
representative Wilson Uwujaren said amid a standard baggage screening, five sacks were located unattended and without labels containing new mass items suspected to be cash.
He said upon examination, the packs were found to contain N200 denominator in 20 groups totalling N40m and N50 denomination in 180 groups totalling N9m with seal purportedly emanating from the Nigeria Security and Minting Plc (NSPM).
He said investigation concerning the matter is still on.
