Edo Election: Electoral officer affirms ballot box snatching at Ekpoma


Mr. Lebari Nduh, INEC Electoral Officer in Esan West Local Government Area, has affirmed that hoodlums had snatched a ballot box from Ward 7 unit 11, amid the Edo governorship election on Wednesday. Nduh made the affirmation while tending to Journalists at INEC office in Ekpoma. 


He, in any case, said that the election was peaceful at the various polling centres," aside from in ward 7 unit 11, where
hoodlum snatched a polling box". "The hoodlums couldn't lay their hands on the results sheets which were saved by the presiding officer, yet as I talk with you, there is no result from there,"he said.

The electoral officer said in spite of the fact that INEC authorities encountered some hitches with the card readers, "the flawed machines were quickly replaced with functional ones''.
