Boko Haram Allegedly Threatens To Bomb University of Ibadan


Tension heightened Friday evening at the University of Ibadan after the circulation ‎of a letter purportedly written all staff by a Boko Haram group threatening to wreck stupendous devastation through perpetual bombings of the establishment, starting from today, Saturday. 


The affirmed offense of the institution was for being the first college in the nation that
acquired and dug in western education.

Reports say both teaching and non-teaching staff were in frenzy mood as others were talking about the messages which was presently broadly circled inside the University community. No official response has been made on the mail. 

It was accumulated that while a few lecturers got the mail through their institutional email addresses, others were duplicated through social platform, for example, WhatsApp. 

In the affirmed mail, the gathering "al-wilayat al-Islamiyya Gharb Afriqiyyah" described University of Ibadan as a shame to Nigeria for bringing western education. 

Security has been reinforced at the University entrance with checking and 'stop and search' operation was being done prompting leading to many resuming work late as they spent over a hour at the entryway while traffic snarl was seen owing to the security screening. 

While saying that UI doomed the country , the implied letter threaten to start explosion on the campus including that most staff and undergraduate were going to die before Independent day.
