The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hosts exposed allegation that the party is wanting to rig the Wednesday governorship election in Edo.
A statement by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye on

"We have perused the remarks credited to the Deputy Director General, Obaseki Campaign Organization, John Osakue such that our Party is attempting to rig the prospective Edo State Gubernatorial Election.
"This statement is false, deceptive and absolutely with regards to the All Progressives Congress (APC) guideline of promulgation over no substance," he said.
He said that it was on record that the PDP had since raised the caution over the plan of the APC to control the electoral process in Edo State.
"John Osakue's remark is in this way a smokescreen intended to deceive Nigerians and was made to distract individuals from plans by APC to rig the Election.
"The goal is to dishonestly curry sensitivity from the Nigerian open while arranging and executing their loathsome exercises.
"We encourage the Obaseki Campaign Organization and additionally the APC to quit hawking the misrepresentation," he said.
Adeyeye said that the general population of Edo had chosen to vote PDP on Wednesday.
"We encourage our abounding individuals, supporters and the great individuals of Edo to evade the publicity of the APC.
"We encourage them to likewise turn out as a group to vote in favor of our competitor, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, on Sept. 28," he said
