10-UNIVERSITY OF GHANA,1948 : 


The University of Ghana is the oldest university of the 13 tertiary institutions in
Ghana, it was fniversity school of the gold coast ,yet gained full university status in 1961.while at present gloating of more than 40,000 students

9-UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN,1948: 


The University of Ibadan is Nigeria's oldest and most prestigious university with more than 40,000 students, established formally in 1948. it has roots as the then Yaba College which was established in 1932 in Yaba, Lagos as the principal tertiary institution in Nigeria.Yaba college was later migrated to Ibadan turning into the University of Ibadan. 

8-MAKERERE UNIVERSITY,1922: 


Uganda's biggest and third oldest institution of higher learning , initially settled as a specialized school in 1922 (the most established is Katigondo National Major Seminary built up in 1911; and Bishop Tucker Theological College,established in 1913). Today, Makerere University offers projects to more than 40,000 students.
