Harvest crashes prices of foodstuffs in Kano markets


Following the recent harvest of farm produce in Kano State,  it has been revealed in some markets that the prices of grains have dropped drastically compared to last month 


A bag of maize is now selling for #10,000 as against #13,000 it sold last month. While the
price of a measure of millet has even dropped from #360 t#250. A bag of rice which was sold for #19,000 is now selling for #17,500,  while a measure is sold for #700.

One of the consumer said that the current economy hardship will end up with massive food production.
