Naira depreciated further against dollar

The naira on Monday devalued further against the dollar at the parallel market, trading at N367 to the dollar.

It was reported that the Nigerian cash lost one point from N366 on Friday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N476 and N432.

At the Bureau De Change (BDC) portion, the naira was sold at N363 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N476 and N432, separately.

The naira, be that as it may, refreshing at the investors' window as it shut down at 362.50, more grounded than N365.68, its opening rate.

Dealers said that the interest for foreigb trade surpassed its supply.

It was reported that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is mediating at the foreign
exchange market to settle the naira.

The naira had railed around N363 to the dollar for around two weeks until the point that market powers dragged it into devaluation.
