Kano State Govt. gives 28 Toyota Hilux vehicles to Nigerian Army


The Kano State Government on Monday gave 16 Toyota Hilux vehicles "and 12 revamped ones" to the Nigerian Army as a feature of endeavors to battle crimes in the state.‎ 

Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje presented the vehicles to the Brigade Commander of third Brigade,Nigerian Army, Kano, Brig.- Gen. Olufemi Akinjobi, at the Government House, Kano. 

‎Ganduje said the motion was in appreciation about the various sacrifices of the military toward reestablishing peace and stability in the state and the country.‎ 

“I am here today to present 16 brand new Toyota Hilux vehicles and 12 refurbished ones to you to assist in cushioning the effect and challenges of transportation in the fight against crime in the state,”he said.

‎The Governor complimented the military on their accomplishments in Falgore forest and different fortifications of cattle rustlers, kidnappers and different hoodlums. 

‎He said the state government had spent over N300 million on the acquisition and
the revamping of the vehicles.

‎Brig.- Gen. Akinjobi said thanks to the state government for the gift and guaranteed prudent utilization of the vehicles. 

"Any legislature that gathers the mettle to give vehicles to ‎security offices, that administration is not kidding in handling security issues and we guarantee to make prudent utilization of these vehicles, "he said.
