Football fans escaped death as football viewing centre collapses


Several football fans on Easter Day, barely got away passing while numerous others sustained injuries at Ojobo people group in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State when a football viewing centre they had gathered to watch the European Premier League, EPL collapsed on them. 

Located at Oyateigha II quarters of the community, the viewing centre which was built by the shore wall of the riverine group by an indigene of the community, was said to have crumple inferable from the enormous weight of the football fans that had trooped in to watch the Manchester United versus Chelsea match. 

Giving subtle details of the occurrence, an occupant of the community, Boumoepre Youkere said the building which is mostly built with wood and zinc materials, came down at around 4:30p.m in the midst of
shouts from the fans.

"The building was stuffed when it came down. Toward the end of the carnage, a considerable measure of people sustained wounds as belongings were likewise lost amid the occurrence," he included.
