UNIBEN To Award 61 First Class Degrees At Her Forthcoming 42nd Convocation Ceremony

An aggregate of 61 graduates will be awarded First Class degrees at the pending 42nd convocation of the University of Benin, UNIBEN, concurring to its Vice Chancellor, Faraday Orumwense.

UNIBEN vice chancellor said 12,808 graduates would be awarded various diplomas and degrees amid the ceremony
holding from November 23 to 26.

As indicated by him, 154 graduates would bag up doctorate degrees, 2,531 master's degrees, 233 post-graduate diplomas, 9, 281 college degrees, 95 undergraduate diplomas and 514 unclassified.

Mr. Orumwense said the ceremony would likewise include the conferment of honorary degrees of Doctor of Science and additionally Professor Emeritus to meriting Nigerians.

The vice-chancellor  said the Assembly Lecture will be conveyed by the Hon. Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.

He said that 15 recently finished projects will be inaugurated while the institution’s Hall of Fame will be devoted to the former Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Godwin Oshodin for his extraordinary leadership qualities and innovativeness.
