Bright Okpocha, Nigerian comedian known to fans as Basketmouth, says he would vie for Nigeria’s presidency in 2019 if Donald Trump wins the US presidential election.
The comedian, who's especially vocal about political issues, said: "If Donald Trump wins the US race, I'm so running for the Presidential race in Nigeria 2019".
Basketmouth as of late blamed Goodluck Jonathan, former president, for the financial issues tormenting the nation.
He had likewise noticed that he didn't campaign for president Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential applicant, amid the last general election.
"While a significant number of my associates, loved ones campaign for the PDP, APC and different candidates amid the last election (and I can't underline enough that it is their entitlement to do as such), I never crusaded for Buhari or whatever other government official.
"Surely, I for one trusted that he would win the decision and maybe that was obvious in my non-verbal communication and I am glad he won. Be that as it may, I didn't campaign for him.
"Nigeria was in an awful place before the end of the last administration and it wouldn't have been long until we would have endured the situations of Brazil and Venezuela.
"Reality of the situation is that I would have voted anybody that could talk 2 expressions of English against GEJ and that is entirely in light of the measure of insatiability and self-centeredness we saw from individuals from his organization in the 6 years that he sat on the stone.
"They place us in this septic tank we are in right now… . indeed, that and the oil price fall in addition to other things," Basketmouth had said.
