Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on Saturday divulged a statue to pay tribute to South African President Jacob Zuma.
The occasion was seen by Mr. Zuma and different dignitaries.
Asides the mammoth statue, Governor Rochas likewise named a street after Mr. Zuma.
Sequel to the unveiling of the statue, Mr. Zuma was on Friday deliberated with a customary title of Ochiagha Imo, by Eze Imo, Samuel Ohiri.
The title certificate was issued by a former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo.
In a statement, Mr. Okorocha said the respect was given on Mr. Zuma for his affection for education.
"Today, we have chosen to respect you for your affection for instruction, however you were denied in your initial days in life yet you are attempting to ensure that each poor kid went to School. Your adoration for education to us is the association amongst you and government and the general population of Imo State. The main business we have and we can really be pleased with is instruction in Imo State. This is another motivation behind why we have regarded you", he said.
Mr. Zuma who talked subsequent to getting the honor charged Africans to meet up to address the issues that influence the mainland, including that we are one individuals.
"Africans must meet up to address African issues. We are similar individuals. We will fail in the event that we handle issues as people. We have to perceive that we are one."
The honor comes a couple of days after another Nigerian, Jelili Omoyele, a 35-year-old, was killed in South Africa.
