Famous wrestler, Power Uti, faces trial for allegedly killing his wife, looking up body to decompse


Former wrestling champion, John Eke Uti a.k.a. Power Uti, was on Tuesday brought before an Ebute Meta Magistrates' Court, Lagos, for supposedly killing his wife, Toyin. 

Uti, 55, was summoned before Magistrate Bola Folarin-Williams on a two-tally of murder and lack of regard of carcass. 

In the wake of investigating the case record, Magistrate Folarin-Williams said she didn't see anything both in the accused's statement and in the police investigations to demonstrate that the denounced murdered his wife and suppressed the remand application brought by the police. 

She, along these lines, conceded the accused to a safeguard for N500,000 with two
mindful sureties in like entirety, who must be blood relations and furthermore work with legitimate associations.

John Eke Uti, a former world wrestling champion, was first taken to Ilupeju Police Station before being exchanged to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department for advance investigation. 



The offenses repudiated Sections 165(a) and 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. On the off chance that discovered liable, the blamed countenances a capital punishment. The case has been adjourned until Nov. 15.
