Dino Melaye secures rice donations subsequent to asking senators to save Kogi State civil servants

A couple of days after a director in the Kogi State civil service apparently killed himself over unpaid payment, 40 Nigerian legislators have given no less than 1,260 sacks of rice to government workers in Kogi State, an official said.

Kogi is one of the many states at present owing laborers' pay rates and qualifications. The representatives apparently made the gift at the case of one of their partners, Dino Melaye, Kogi-APC.

Prior at the whole, Mr. Melaye had called the consideration of the Senate to the misery of government employees in Kogi State. "Today, in my state we live in perilous time and vicissitude.

The social media and daily papers have been inundated couple of days with appalling occurrence of a government worker who conferred suicide after getting information that his wife brought forth triplets", he said.

"He is (was) being owed 11 months' pay. Another government worker was seen
crying since he couldn't give N3000 to drugs and the child died. Their pay rates must be paid; beneficiaries must be paid. What number of more individuals will submit suicide before Yahaya Bello pays compensations? We would prefer not to see more passings in Kogi state."

Addressing journalists toward the finish of the plenary, Mr. Melaye unveiled that 40 congresspersons had given 1,260 sacks of rice and other help materials to facilitate the sufferings of the specialists.
