The Federal Government on Thursday suspended the beset Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola and his colleague at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Prof. Olusola Oyewole.
A letter signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. Hussaini Adamu, noticed that the corrupt chancellors were suspended regarding their progressing trial at the command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
They were told to handover to the most senior Deputy Vice-Chancellors of their separate institutions.

"Consultations are in progress with the universities on the genuine position of things, while a formal explanation will be issued at the appropriate time. Then, all ordinary scholarly and administrative activities are progressing unabated, in the university.'' she said.
