A ruined alcoholic couple in Jharkhand's Bokaro area of India, on Monday, sold its one-and-a-half-month-old infant kid to a quack for Rs 45,000 for purchasing their every day measurements of alcohol, police and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) individuals disclosed to Hindustan Times on Monday.
The couple later argued purity to the police asserting preposterously that they sold the newborn child "accidentally". The father of the baby, Rajesh Hembrom who works as a washer man in Bokaro is 30 years of age while his wife is 28.The couple as of now has five kids, all less than ten years old.
Police swung without hesitation after the couple's neighbors tipped them off on Sunday about the arrangement with the quack.
According to source, Policemen in mufti met the couple and followed the quack who had effectively given over the infant to a 50-
year-old man, Meghu Mahato, an occupant of a similar region. Mahato is childless.
"The agent Santosh Sahish, who is a quack, took away the child in the wake of paying Rs 45,000 in real money to the couple. He gave over the newborn child to an old man who lives in Chakradharpur," said Dhirendra Kumar, an associate sub-examiner who is investigating the case.
