Lagos govt plans 12-hour street carnival


The Lagos State Government on Thursday said it would hold a 12-hour street carnival on the famous Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja, on December 3 ahead of the Yuletide. 

The Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, at a news meeting in Alausa, said that the general point of the carnival was to help the economy of the state. 


Akinsola said that the occasion, in the past known as Lagos Street party, had transformed into a carnival which would happen in general extend of Oba Akran Road from twelve till midnight. 

She guaranteed that game plans were set up to guarantee most extreme security and activity control. 

Akinsola said that option courses would be given to drivers with the goal that they don't encounter torments because of the conclusion. 


She said more than 700 revelers were relied upon to go to the jubilee in vivid outfits,
outline and movement in a controlled parade.
