Man imprisoned for stealing mosquito nets


A Mapo Senior Magistrates' Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday imprisoned a 20-year-old man, Olalekan Adebisi, for a half year for stealing 50 bits of mosquito nets. 

The Senior Magistrate, Mrs Mercy Aderounmu noticed that the convict had effectively burned through five months in Agodi Prison due to his inability to perfect the bail conditions of N50, 000 earlier granted him.

The judge said that the convict would now do a group benefit for a month inside the court premises. 

It was reported that Adebisi of no settled address was first summoned on June 7 on a check of taking.

Adebisi later changed his supplication to blameworthy on November 13, subsequent to burning through five months in jail authority, and the case was deferred until
