Ebonyi not ripe for Biafra and restructuring – Governor Umahi

The governor of Ebonyi state, Governor David Umahi on Wednesday said Ebonyi State is neither in help of the disturbance for Biafra nor the call for restructuring in light of the fact that the two recommendations were not going to profit the state as a people.

Mr. Umahi, who expressed this in Abakaliki while reacting to the introduction of an expert on Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, amid the state official committee meeting, said the state was not monetarily reasonable to look for freedom. ‎

"At the point when the issue of Biafra or restructuring is talked about, my heart hops in light of the fact that Ebonyi is not ready for any. Ask yourself, hat is it that we are producing? We absolutely rely on upon the government for . Speculators are not coming into the state and our IGR is not a big deal, in light of the fact that the possibility of anbinvestor is, assuming the allocation that originates from the centre stops, how would I get back my cash?" Mr.
Umahi said.

The Ebonyi capital, Abakaliki, was one of only a handful couple of ranges in the south-east where the current sit-at-home mandate by pro- Biafran group failed.

The governor conceded that occupants of the state were over-burdened. He said shockingly, the cash was going into private pockets. He guaranteed that those included since 2014 would be constrained to discount the assets.

Mr. Umahi communicated confidence that the new measures being given something to do would end the issue of IGR spillages in the state and help his organization in battling debasement.
