President Buhari embarks on 2-day working visit to Morocco

President Muhammadu Buhari will start a two-day working visit to Morocco, the president's Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has said.

Mr Shehu, in a statement in Abuja on Saturday, said the visit was at the welcome of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

He said the two leaders would examine financial issues influencing their nations, following earlier commitment in December 2016, amid the official visit of the Moroccan pioneer to Nigeria.

"In Rabat, talks will center around reinforcing existing concessions to the manure business, training participation, the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline venture and setting up an essential compound stage to saddle Nigeria's huge flammable gas assets and bolster Morocco's diammonium phosphate industry,'' he said.

The presidential aide reviewed that Nigeria and Morocco had in December 2016 consented to a joint effort arrangement to resuscitate the surrendered Nigerian manure mixing plants.

He said that following the consenting to of the arrangement, 14 compost plants had been revived so far under the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative with a limit of 2.3 million metric huge amounts of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (K) — NPK manure.

Mr Shehu said the president would be accompanied on the trip by governors of Ebonyi and Jigawa, Mr Dave Umahi and Alhaji Abubakar Badaru separately; and other senior government authorities.
