Police arrests 10 suspects for burning IDPs houses in Nasarawa


The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested 10 individuals for purportedly setting burning the houses betrayed by the Internally Displaced Persons (IPDs) in Nasarawa and Benue bordertowns.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Idirisu Kennedy, expressed this on Saturday while tending to writers at the charge central command in Lafia. 

He said some of the suspects arrested regarding the incident ended up being of the same tribal extraction with their casualties. 



He said on February 11, one Nicholas Alua and three others, who are all Tiv individuals, were arrested for burning places of their Tiv siblings at Farin Ruwa 1,
lObi nearby government region of the state.



He included that one Ijakeni Uhon of Gidan Nguinyi was arrested for setting fire on 25 houses having a place with some Tiv individuals at Gidan Wakili.
