A previous Super Eagles coach, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, has recorded a divorce suit against his wife, Abiona, at the Ibadan Customary Grade C Court sitting in Mapo. Onigbinde told the court that his wife is brutal and stubborn, adding that she was unwilling to live agreeably with him.

When both showed up in court, the leader of the court, Chief Odunade Adewuyi informed the spouse concerning the affirmations leveled against her.

Whenever inquired as to whether she needed the marriage to be disintegrated, Mrs. Onigbinde answered in the negative, saying she didn't know why a divorce suit was documented against her.

The court stated: “If his (Onigbinde) prayers are heard by the court, do you think the
marriage should not be dissolved? Which steps did you take after your husband complained about these allegations? Does he like your attitude?

Give us a chance to state you are the spouse and your wife says he doesn't need something, won't you know?" The lady answered: "He said he doesn't care for it. He said I'm fierce, yet it is not really. I called the senior child and informed him concerning it.

Additionally, I told my children and my husband's senior sibling. Our children went to beseech him however he can't." The president and different individuals from the court, Elder E.A. Ogundipe and Chief Raifu Raji, prompted the lady to keep up peace with her husband.

Under the steady gaze of the court deferred hearing for the situation, Onigbinde inquired as to whether his life would be secured in light of the fact that he was almost assaulted when one of the children and her husband went to his home.
