CBN suspends Ecobank, GTB, 12 others over SME forex abuse


The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Tuesday, banished 14 Money Deposit Banks from dealing in the Small and Medium Entreprises (SME) discount Forex window. 

The barred banks are First Bank, Keystone Bank, Main Street Bank, Ecobank, Stanbic IBTC, Citi Bank, Enterprise Bank and WEMA bank. 

Others are Guaranty Trust Bank, First City Monument bank, Union Bank, SunTrust Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and United Bank of Africa.

The British Government on Tuesday said it has put aside ‎£5m to bolster the battle against human trafficking in Nigeria.

Man dies after falling from NITEL mast in Osun

MTN Nigeria sacks nearly 300 workers


South African telecoms firm, MTN, on Friday sacked 280 of its employees in Nigeria, in a major occupation cut that influenced around 15% of the organization's whole Nigerian workforce.
