Nigerians speak: On Big Brother Naija show



I don't see the joy in watching it – Ejike Kanife, Writer 

I don't watch the show since I think that its neither diverting nor intriguing or even suspense filled. It's only two or three folks living in detachment, doing a portion of the things consistent folks do regular. I don't see the joy in watching that. I regard the selection of a huge number of individuals who think that its enjoyable however. So I don't have an issue with it.

The past Big Brother show was tied in with exhibiting and upgrading the endowments and abilities of our childhood. However, this version is simply advancing sexual immortality and waste. We require shows to extend the benefit of our land. I don't have the foggiest idea about the criteria with which the organizers use to judge or pick individuals. 

The majority of the housemates in this edition have nothing to offer other than sex and waywardness. Big brother should pay special mind to individuals with endowments and gifts to make Nigeria glad and furthermore to affect the adolescent emphatically.

I don't see the relevance of the show. As a matter of first importance, I don't watch it. I simply get look at it… I know they are offering their market, yet they should attempt and make it more educative and impactful.

It ought to be banned, after all the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) boycott some music recordings. So BBN should be restricted. Why can’t they use the prize money to promote practical creativity of individuals who excel academically or otherwise. I see no advantage watching the show.

It's a waste of time and cash. Those supporting the show should search for students without standing exhibitions and give them that N45million. A program that isn't educative or educational in any capacity. What ethics does it show us? 

We simply watch a show of ineptitude that's it in a nutshell. It impacts adversely on the young people since it influences them to figure they can profit without education or a job. All they require do is go for the show and gain a considerable measure of cash. What's more, if that isn't conceivable, they turn to wrongdoing keeping in mind the end goal to profit.

Lassa fever: Delta affirms three death, 24 under observation


The Delta State Government has said three out of the seven affirmed instances of Lassa fever have brought about mortality since the episode of the malady in the state. 

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, who revealed this, said 24 people have been set under observation.
