Troops of 34 Field Artillery Brigade required in field preparing activity of Operation CROCODILE SMILE directed assault on 2 major kidnappers camps having a place with "De-Well" and "De-Gbam" cultists groups in Umoubi and Umudike forest, both in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State on Thursday 18th September, 2016.
Amid the attack one Chigozie otherwise known as "Chi kid", a notorious kingpin of
one of the cult groups lost his life, while another member was later found dead in the backwoods and a significant number of the gang members were believed to have gotten away with firearm shot injuries.
The troops recouped a significant number of military regalia and cellular phones and other family things before devastating the camps to keep the cultists regrouping in the territory. They have kept on looking over the general territory for different individuals from the kidnapping syndicate.
