Buhari's visit to Edo will help APC's chances on Saturday – chairman


The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo on Tuesday said President Muhammadu Buhari's visit to the state would help the gathering's odds at Saturday's governorship race.

The Party Chairman in the state, Mr Anselm Ojezua, said the President's visit would help the gathering's odds at the surveys. Ojezua, who talked at the fundamental dish of the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, in Benin, said this was regardless of the way that the gathering and its competitor, Godwin Obaseki, had arranged well. 

"Yet, the President gracing the last rally will probably advance upgrades the odds of the gathering at the survey,'' he said. The director said that the president "won't be unaware of the way that his visit is critical being his first significant governorship survey to be led since supposition of office on May 29, 2015. 

"Concerning us, we have buckled down for the decision, yet the visit of Mr President today, Tuesday, will be an additional favorable position to us," he said. 

NAN reports that the President, who arrived the Benin air terminal at 10;20, is driving other prominent gathering individuals to visit the crown ruler and the Ediaken of Uselu, Eheneden Erediauwa, in his royal residence at Uselu. 

In the interim, APC supporters, in their numbers, began touching base at the stadium, the venue of the rally as right on time as 7.00 a.m. NAN reports that noticeable individuals from the gathering as of now at the stadium were the previous Deputy Governor of Edo, Rev. Subside Obadan, the state Chairman of the gathering, Mr Anselm Ojezua, and Great Ogboru from Delta. Others are the Speaker, Edo House of Assembly, Dr Justin Okunobor, former Gov. Oserheimen Osunbor, and governorship applicant, Mr Chris Ogiewonyi.
